Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Lee, Monroe, Phillips County Holds Award Ceremony

Lee, Monroe, and Phillip counties’ spring 2022 ASPSF recipients.

Helena, Ark. (April 6, 2022) — The Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Lee, Monroe, and Phillips Counties held in-person workshops and awarded spring scholarships to 29 recipients.

It was a wonderful opportunity for all to get together, share information, learn details regarding ASPSF, and enjoy seeing one another

Our presenters were Mr. Bennie Fonzie (Car Maintenance), Mrs. Ella James (interview Skills), Mrs. Jackie Scott (Dress for Success), and Mrs. Edelma Simes (Business Thank You Letters). Each presenter provided an excellent activity, and our recipients were very interactive. ASPSF would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Wandra Williams for coordinating our meeting space and breakout rooms.

Funding for the scholarships were provided by businesses, individuals, the M.A. Greenwood Endowment, the Southern Black Girls and Women Consortium, Arkansas Department of Higher Education, and the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund.
