July Volunteer of the Month - Spring Sneed

Spring Sneed has been faithfully serving single parent students in Craighead County with passion and commitment for more than four years. Spring has led the process of application reviews, interviewing applicants and fundraising efforts through regular letter campaigns and faithfully working every fundraising event opportunity. Spring has tirelessly sought ways to meet the ongoing needs of single parent students through writing and receiving mini-grants and by securing relationships with other area service providers.  Spring has been the face of Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund in Craighead County as she has formed lasting relationships with scholarship recipients and shows them warm support and encouragement through their pursuit of a better life for their family.

Spring recently experienced a personal setback that could have resulted in her retreating from her involvement with ASPSF. Instead, she used the unexpected available time to support her ASPSF Program Manager in manning information booths at multiple community events, to review more than 60 Spring 2019 scholarship applications and to conduct interviews. She also solicited donations for and then organized and managed the “Beauty and the Beads” event silent auction.

Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund volunteers make a huge difference in the lives single-parent families in their communities. Are you interested in sharing your time and support like Spring Sneed? Click here to learn more about volunteer opportunities with ASPSF and how to get involved.
