Complete the scholarship application using Adobe Reader.

Open the scholarship application form in Adobe Reader. Use the Typewriter tool to type text anywhere on the page.

If you don't see the Typewriter Toolbar: from the Tools menu click Typewriter > Show Typewriter Toolbar, then click the Typewriter button.

Click your cursor where you want to type then begin typing. It's that easy!

Be sure to save a copy of the completed application form to your computer.

Read and follow all application instructions for submitting your completed scholarship application. If an original signature is required, you will need to print out the completed form and sign it prior to submitting your completed application packet.

Application Deadlines:

  • Spring semester - February 1
  • Summer - June 1 (pending availability of funds)
  • Fall semester - September 1

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Have custody of and be responsible for daily care of dependent minor children;
  • Be a single head of household residing in Union County, AR;
  • Be a high school graduate or in the process of earning a GED diploma. (Applicants preparing for the GED exam have the opportunity to receive the scholarship to pay for GED books.)
  • Priority will be given to full-time students who are enrolled in or have been accepted by a public or private non-profit post-secondary institution in a program providing marketable skills to achieve self-sufficiency and a better standard of living.
  • Be a recipient of or applying for a Pell Grant (and other sources of financial aid); and
  • For continued eligibility for the Scholarship, recipients must maintain a 2.5 GPA each semester. Priority will be given to past SPSF recipients who maintain eligibility.
