  • Spring - January 15
  • Summer - June 1
  • Fall - September 1

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Resident of Poinsett County, Arkansas,
  • High school graduate or equivalent (may apply if enrolled in high school or in the process of obtaining GED),
  • Single head of household (single, legally separated, divorced, or widowed),
  • Pursuing an undergraduate course of study to ensure a better standard of living for his/her family,
  • Low income person at or near the poverty level,
  • Recipient of a Pell Grant or in the process of obtaining same.

Required Supporting Documentation:

The following items must be submitted, along with a completed scholarship application, by the scholarship deadline.
  • New Applicants Only
    • Statement of Goals - A brief paragraph describing educational goals and reasons for choosing your present field of study.
    • References - Three (3) letters of recommendation from past or present employers, schools, ministers, or community leaders.
    • Transcript - Copy of all educational transcripts (including high school, technical school, and college, as applicable).
    • Proof of enrollment/acceptance - Letter of verification of enrollment or acceptance
    • Permission Release Form - Download, complete and submit the Permission to Release Confidential Information
  • Returning Applicants Only
    • Transcript - Copy of most recent transcript. Student copies of transcripts are acceptable.
    • Proof of enrollment/acceptance - Letter of verification of enrollment or acceptance
    • Permission Release Form - Download, complete and submit the Permission to Release Confidential Information
