Be sure Adobe® Reader® 8.1 or above is installed on your computer.

Click on a form link to open the form, then use the Typewriter tool to type text anywhere on the form pages:

  • From the Tools menu click Typewriter > Show Typewriter Toolbar, and then click the Typewriter button.
  • Click your cursor where you want to type. Begin typing. Press Enter to add a second line.
  • To change the size of text, select the text and click the Decrease Text Size button or the Increase Text Size button in the Typewriter toolbar.
  • To change the line spacing, select the text and click the Decrease Line Spacing button or the Increase Line Spacing button.
  • To move or resize a block of text, click on the block of text to show its borders then drag the text block or one of its corners.
  • To edit the text again, select the Typewriter tool, and then double-click in the Typewriter text.

Be sure to save a copy of the completed application form to your computer.

Application Deadlines:

  • Spring semester - December 20
  • Summer semester - May 15
  • Fall semester - August 15

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Resident of Newton County, Arkansas,
  • High school graduate or equivalent (may apply if enrolled in college an in process of obtaining GED),
  • Single head of household (single, legally separated, divorced or widowed),
  • Pursuing a vocational oriented course of study to ensure a better standard of living for his/her family,
  • Low income person at or near the poverty level,
  • Recipient of a Pell Grant or in the process of obtaining one. Under special circumstances, non-Pell recipients may be considered for this scholarship,
  • Have a 2.0 GPA (if currently attending school)
