To change the size of text, select the text and click the Decrease Text Size button or the Increase Text Size button in the Typewriter toolbar.
To change the line spacing, select the text and click the Decrease Line Spacing button or the Increase Line Spacing button.
To move or resize a block of text, click on the block of text to show its borders then drag the text block or one of its corners.
To edit the text again, select the Typewriter tool, and then double-click in the Typewriter text.

Application Deadlines and Requirements
Complete applications must be postmarked by the following deadlines:

Spring semester: November 15

Fall semester: June 1

Applicants selected for financial assistance will meet the following requirements:

May not have previously obtained a Bachelor’s Degree,

Must meet the Federal Guidelines for low-income families,

Must be a resident of Miller County, Arkansas or Bowie County, TX,

Must be a single parent, with legal custody and have sole responsibility for the daily care of at least one minor child,

Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent,

If already attending school, must have a 2.0 GPA or higher for the most recent semester and have maintained a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher,

Must be eligible for the Pell Grant, and

Must be enrolled (or planning to enroll) in an undergraduate degree program within a 30 mile radius of Texarkana.

To date, the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Miller and Bowie Counties has awarded $38,400 in scholarships to deserving single parents in the area.
