Be sure Adobe® Reader® 8.1 or above is installed on your computer.

Click on a form link to open the form, then use the Typewriter tool to type text anywhere on the form pages:

  • From the Tools menu click Typewriter > Show Typewriter Toolbar, and then click the Typewriter button.
  • Click your cursor where you want to type. Begin typing. Press Enter to add a second line.
  • To change the size of text, select the text and click the Decrease Text Size button or the Increase Text Size button in the Typewriter toolbar.
  • To change the line spacing, select the text and click the Decrease Line Spacing button or the Increase Line Spacing button.
  • To move or resize a block of text, click on the block of text to show its borders then drag the text block or one of its corners.
  • To edit the text again, select the Typewriter tool, and then double-click in the Typewriter text.

Application Deadlines and Requirements

Deadlines:

  • Fall semester: July 15
  • Spring semester: December 1
  • Summer semester: April 15

Single parents selected for financial assistance will meet the following criteria:

  1. Must be a resident of Desha County, Arkansas,
  2. High school graduate or equivalent,
  3. Single head of household (single, legally separated, divorced, or widowed),
  4. Pursuing a post-secondary course of study (full or part time) to ensure a better standard of living for his/her family. APPLICANTS CANNOT HAVE ALREADY EARNED AN UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE.
  5. Applicant must demonstrate financial need and provide proof of income and resources (Examples: tax returns; letter from employer; if receiving AFDC, food stamp case number or Medicaid number; a print-out from local DHS office; last 3 consecutive paycheck stubs),
  6. Must have submitted an application for Student Financial Aid,
  7. Completed application form must include:
    • verification/acceptance to a post-secondary school
    • high school/GED/or college transcript
    • 3 letters of recommendation
    • copy of student aid report
    • statement of goals
