Application Deadlines and Requirements

Deadlines:

  • Fall semester - July 15
  • Spring semester - November 15
  • Summer semester - March 15

Single parents selected for financial assistance will meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a resident of Cleveland County, Arkansas,
  2. Be a high school or GED graduate,
  3. Be a single head of household (single, legally separated, divorced, widowed) with sole custody of one or more children under the age of 18,
  4. Pursue a career-oriented course of study (full or part time) to ensure a better standard of living for his/her family. Applicants must not have already earned a bacallaureate degree with the exception of those pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching.
  5. Be a low-income person at or near the poverty level, and
  6. Be a recipient of a Pell Grant or in the process of applying for one.
