ONLINE DONATION SYSTEM

ASPSF subscribes to an online donation system provided by Click&Pledge.com. This secure system enables all SPSF affiliates to receive donations and event registration fees by major credit card, electronic check, or invoice.

A donate button is available on each page of the ASPSF website, on which donors can click to access an online donation form. Donors may designate one or more counties (affiliates) in Arkansas in which their donation will be used. They may also designate their donation to recur at any frequency and length of time they choose. Donors will receive an automatic acknowledgment and confirmation for their records and tax purposes. ASPSF staff will also receive an automatic alert, which is forwarded to the affiliate designee.

Donors' personal information is used for internal purposes only and is not shared with any parties outside of Click&Pledge, TransFirst merchant service, ASPSF and its affiliates. ASPSF will retain this information for bookkeeping and transaction identification purposes only. The affiliate designee retains all rights to this information for their records.

Donations collected through this system are deposited directly into ASPSF's merchant account held at TransFirst. ASPSF allocates each contribution according to the instructions provided by the donor on the donation form. Since these are considered local donations, ASPSF also awards applicable matching funds to the designated affiliate.

Donation Allocation and Transaction Fees

There are two halves to the Click&Pledge.com system: the software and the merchant bank through which donations are processed. The software is provided directly by Click&Pledge and is free to use. Transfirst, the merchant bank, charges a monthly account fee, which is absorbed 100% by ASPSF.

TransFirst also charges a fee for each transaction processed through the merchant service account. Transaction fees are collected by ASPSF from each online donation and paid to TransFirst. Each month ASPSF allocates donations received during the prior month (less transaction fees). Transaction fees are as follows:

Discount rate per transaction:  4.5% + $0.35
Non-qualified card surcharge (those that earn points or rewards) per transaction:  1%
VISA APF fee (VISA cards only) per transaction:  0.2%
Return fee per transaction:  $35

Accepted payment methods: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners, ACH (eCheck), JCB, and invoice. Invoice payments are free and do not accrue any fees since no money is processed through the merchant account. An electronic invoice is sent to ASPSF who forwards it to the designated affiliate. The affiliate is responsible for collecting the payment directly from the donor.
