ASPSF 2007 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
- Dr. Loretta N. McGregor, President (Craighead County)
Bio: Dr. McGregor is the Department Chair and Associate Professor of Psychology at ASU Jonesboro. She received a B.A. from Ouachita Baptist University, Arkansas, an M.S. in General Experimental Psychology from Emporia State University, Kansas, and a Ph.D. in Human Factors Psychology from Wichita State University, Kansas. Dr. McGregor has taught a variety of courses, including designing a course teaching psychology majors about their career options, which was adopted as part of the curriculum at both OBU and SAU. Her professional involvements include membership in the American and Southwestern Psychological Associations, and Teaching of Psychology in Secondary Schools. She is a consultant for the Educational Testing Service and is a test development committee member for Advanced Placement. She feels her greatest accomplishments are her children, Porsha and Sean.

- Veronda C. Tatum (Union County)
Bio: Ms. Tatum is the Director of Financial Aid & Veterans Affairs at South Arkansas Community College in El Dorado. She is a graduate of Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia with a BBA and a M.Ed. in Agency Counseling. She serves as the Secretary of the Union County SPSF Board. She also serves on the BancorpSouth Community Advisory Council, is the team director of the church youth and praise team, and is the correspondence secretary for the Sigma Beta Omega Graduate Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She is actively involved in the Adopt-A-Highway Program, the American Heart Association and Relay for Life. She and her son reside in Smackover.

Bio: Chris is the Chief Compliance Officer for Greenwood & Associates, Inc.
- Debbie W. Shea (Desha County)
Bio: Debbie is the executive director of the Delta Area Community Foundation in Dumas. She earned a BA in Political Science from Mary Baldwin College in Virginia. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Stewards and the Board Secretary for the Old State House Museum Association. She also serves on the Boards of the Desha County Historical Society, Mary Baldwin College Alumnae Board, Arkansas Arts Advisory Council, Main Street Arkansas Advisory, Main Street Dumas, Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas Advisory Board, National Trust for Historic Preservation Board of Advisors and the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund. Mrs. Shea has received several awards, including the 1984 Dumas Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Service Award, 1993 Dumas Lion's Club Woman of the Year Award, and the 2005 Executive Director of the Year Award. She enjoys playing tennis and reading, and she is a lifeguard training instructor.
- Diane Tatum (Jefferson County)
Bio: Ms. Tatum has been with Entergy since 1977 and was promoted to Regional Manager for the southern Arkansas area in 2002. Community activities include serving as a board member of the following organizations: Pine Bluff Chamber of Commerce, Pine Bluff Community Foundation Board, Pine Bluff Arts & Science Center, Pine Bluff Salvation Army and the Pine Bluff-Downtown Development Board. While in El Dorado, Diane served as the chair for the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce, Board member of Union County SPSF, South Arkansas Symphony and Union County TEA Coalition. She was appointed to the Arkansas State Board of Education in 2003 by Gov. Mike Huckabee. Diane is a graduate of the Camden and El Dorado Leadership programs as well as the Leadership Arkansas Program (LeadAR) and Leadership America. She is a graduate of Phillips County Community College in Helena and Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia with a BBA degree in Business Management. She is married to Horace Tatum, and they have six sons.
- Cathy Williams (Sebastian County)
Bio: Cathy works as a program supervisor in Fort Smith Public Schools. She is a native of Piggott and a graduate of Arkansas State University. She has taught at all levels of public education and has been a counselor/ advisor in high school, community college, and at University of Memphis before relocating to Fort Smith several years ago. Cathy acknowledges that education determined her family’s future when through divorce at age 40 she became a single parent and began a new life with a kindergartner and first grader. She is a founding member and former president of the re-organized Sebastian-Crawford Counties SPSF and is on the boards of several community organizations.
- Nancy Wood (Pulaski County)
Bio: Mrs. Wood is an instructor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She attended Hendrix College, graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.A. in Elementary Education, and received a M.S. in Reading from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has taught developmental reading at the University for the past 19 years and also designed and implemented a College Study Skills class. She often gives presentations on study skills techniques to various groups on campus, and for the past three years has taught a six-hour study skills course to the men and women enrolled in the City of Little Rock Fire Rookie School. Ms. Wood was a seven year member of the Pulaski County Single Parent Scholarship board where she was chair of the student affairs committee and the UALR mentoring committee. When not working, she enjoys walking, reading and spending time with her two grandchildren.
